Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read, write and perform basic data entry.
  • Hazardous Communications training.
  • Lock out / tag out training.
  • Certified to operate powered industrial trucks (PIT).
  • Proficiency in the use of a ruler.
  • Must wear hearing protection.
  • Good manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination.
  • 3–6 months of machinery experience.
  • Ability to learn independently (book, web-based, classroom).

Responsibilities

  • Operate sets of looms and perform style changes.
  • Repair breaks, draw‑in, and ensure construction conforms to style sheets.
  • Maintain safety, quality, delivery and cost standards.
  • Accurate production data entry and paperwork.
  • Team-oriented with good attendance and reliability.
  • Willingness to work overtime, extended shifts and weekends.

Work Shift: Second Shift - Somersworth (United States of America) Work Shift Time: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday Velcro USA Inc. in Somersworth, New Hampshire has immediate Direct and Contract to Hire (based on experience) employment opportunities for Manufacturing Associates on all shifts! Velcro USA Inc. Job Objective:

Ability to operate weaving looms and become proficient in weaving process, following established Standard Operating Procedures. Maintain Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost standards.

Essential Job Functions:

Commitment to Safety Demonstrates a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines. Promotes a culture of safety within the organization by leading by example and encouraging others to prioritize safety. Promptly reports any safety incidents or near-misses to the appropriate personnel and contributes to the investigation process. Active participation in safety-related programs and initiatives is required as necessary. This includes involvement in the safety committee on a rotating schedule, as well as participation in Risk Assessments, Exposure Hunts, department inspections, and change management activities. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations. Operate set (s) of looms. Repair breaks, draw – in, repair smashes, perform style changes, ensure construction conforms to style sheets. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Doff loom pancakes and transfer to carts. Accurately complete necessary production paperwork and data entry. Ability to work well with others in a team environment Excellent attendance required Full time presence required Ability to work overtime as required or requested including extended shifts and weekends. Additional tasks as assigned

What You Bring (Qualifications):

Ability to read, write and perform basic data entry. Ability to complete Hazardous Communications training. Ability to successfully complete lock out / tag out training Ability to be certified to operate powered industrial trucks as listed below. Proficiency in the use of a ruler. Ability to wear hearing protection. Requires good manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination. Minimum of three to six months of experience operating machinery. High school diploma or GED required. Ability to learn independently including book, web-based and classroom participation

Work Environment & Schedule:

Onsite manufacturing environment with shift-based schedule. Hands-on role with equipment operation and team collaboration.
