Job summary

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Quality Control experience a plus.
  • Ability to read, write, perform simple math and follow instructions.
  • Willing to work 12-hour shifts and overtime as required.
  • Standing and strenuous work in heat, cold, humidity, and noise.

Responsibilities

  • Check warp start-ups before production.
  • Follow warp construction sheet and verify match with the sheet.
  • Re-check sign-ins from previous shifts for accuracy.
  • Record date, crew, operator initials on fabric roll tickets.
  • Inspect looms for defects and alert operators immediately.
  • Feel fabric for imperfections and note defects on records.
  • Identify recurring defects and coordinate with operators and fixers.
  • Notify supervisor on serious defects and track repeat issues.
  • Mark defects and keep job cards complete with times and notes.
  • Review roll tickets and determine burl status and finishing range.
