Job summary

Smp Automotive in Cottondale, AL is seeking a Quality Technician I to oversee audits of processes and products in the assigned department, ensuring control plan adherence and daily data verification.

Responsibilities include interface with quality engineering, conducting process audits, ensuring specifications met, creating and following up on Quality Alerts, assisting with containment, supporting color measurement tasks, and performing data entry and filing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.

• Process Audits
• Ensure specifications are met according to the Control Plan in assigned area
• Create and Follow up on Quality Alerts

• Download reading into the color care software
• Advise the color harmony team when the readings are out of tolerance
• Responsible for measuring orange peel and gloss using the Wave scan and Gloss meters
• Assist the Color Technicians when needed
• Perform related office and clerical functions such as, data entry and filing.

• To oversee the audits of process and products within the department to which they are assigned. This includes control plan audits and the verification of data taken on a daily basis to verify that process controls are being utilized

Qualifications:
