Job summary

CLEAResult is hiring a Residential Weatherization Energy Auditor to perform in-home energy assessments, diagnostic testing, and develop comprehensive weatherization work scopes for crews and contractors. You will evaluate health, safety, and energy opportunities and ensure compliance with program requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in residential construction or weatherization, building performance, energy auditing, HVAC, or insulation preferred.
• BPI certifications or weatherization experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in residential settings.
• Proficiency with tablets, software applications, and data entry systems.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive residential energy audits and home energy assessments.
• Perform diagnostic testing including blower door, CAZ, ventilation, and other required tests.
• Evaluate homes for health, safety, durability, and energy efficiency opportunities.
• Develop detailed weatherization work scopes based on audit findings and program rules.
• Identify and document recommended measures such as air sealing, insulation, ventilation, health and safety repairs, energy measures.
• Create clear and accurate job packets for weatherization crews and contractors.
• Collect field measurements, photographs, and required documentation.
• Educate customers on energy-saving opportunities and program benefits.
• Complete audit reports and submit documentation per program and QC requirements.
• Coordinate with installers, inspectors, and program staff to ensure work as specified.
• Ensure audits and work scopes comply with standards and building science principles.
