Job summary

Predictive Sales AI, LLC in Boca Raton, FL seeks a Head of Meteorology to own the science behind our hail and wind detection engine. This hands-on leadership role combines scientific direction with production coding and collaboration with data science and engineering teams.

You will build and validate radar and model data pipelines, ensure outputs are defensible, and translate weather science into property-level damage scores for customer use.

Qualifications

• PhD-level expertise in hail, severe convective storms, and damaging wind
• Hands-on with NEXRAD Level II and dual-polarization products
• Experience with MRMS, SPC storm reports, and HRRR data
• Production-grade Python and data engineering practices
• Familiarity with GRIB2, NetCDF, Zarr, Parquet data formats
• Full-time availability; no concurrent faculty appointment

Responsibilities

• Lead the weather science behind PSAI's hail and wind detection engine
• Design and validate property-level damage likelihood scoring
• Build production pipelines for radar and model data in cloud or HPC
• Ensure outputs are accurate, defensible, and production-ready
• Maintain clean, testable Python code and version control
• Explain uncertainty and limitations to non-technical teams
