Meta in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Thermal Design Engineer to advance thermal solutions for wearables and future technologies. You will work within a cross-disciplinary team spanning mechanical, electrical, and software engineering to move designs from prototypes to production.

You will develop physics-based thermal models, CFD/CAD-based designs, and thermal control systems, testing prototypes to verify performance and reliability in real-world conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience building physics-based thermal models.
• Ability to collaborate with mechanical, electrical and software teams.
• Experience with prototype testing and verification.
• Familiarity with CFD and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop physics-based thermal models using MATLAB, Python, or Julia.
• Support design, development and optimization of part, sub-system and system-level design with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and optimize thermal and fan models using CFD and CAD tools.
• Integrate new thermal technologies through collaboration with mechanical and electrical engineers.
• Support sub-system and system-level thermal verification through prototype testing.
• Assist in developing thermal control systems by building prototypes for testing.
