Job summary

WHOOP Labs is hiring a Researcher II to support research planning and execution on weekends, including data collection for diverse participant access in the metro Boston area. The home base is the on-site facility, WHOOP Labs, with studies ranging from algorithms to hardware validation.

This fully onsite role follows a 4x10 schedule (Fri–Mon). Responsibilities include coordinating testing protocols, documenting weekend activities, and teaching junior researchers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• 2+ years conducting human subjects research.
• Familiarity with data management systems (Google Suite).
• Experience with research platform tools and hardware testing environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute testing protocols across multiple concurrent studies during weekend hours.
• Own research documentation for weekend shifts and ensure smooth handoffs.
• Coach participants during exercise protocols, balancing data integrity and experience.
• Create a welcoming environment for participants during varied tasks.
• Manage use and upkeep of data collection equipment and prototype devices.
• Troubleshoot and support WHOOP's research platform tooling in real time.
• Mentor junior researchers with technical coaching and feedback.
• Perform daily lab management for data collections and readiness.
• Act as ambassador for WHOOP Labs and the WHOOP brand.
