US Tech Solutions in Redmond, WA is seeking a Technical Program Manager for a 9-month contract to lead a wearables hardware project. You will define, plan, and deliver complex cross-functional programs with engineering, operations, and vendor partners.

The role requires strong communication, risk management, and vendor coordination across overseas contract manufacturers, from design through fabrication, with tracking and executive updates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field required.
  • MBA or a related advanced degree preferred.
  • PMP or PMI certification preferred.
  • Need some level of electrical engineering experience - interfacing with electrical engineering team, scheduling milestones, and risk management.
  • Proven track record managing cross-functional programs, complex schedules, risk management, and vendor coordination.
  • Demonstrated success in project and program management in environments with vendor coordination.
  • Oversee all phases from design through “OK to Fab,” including flexes, rigid boards, and hardware design processes.
  • Strong background in program issue/bug tracking and risk management frameworks.
  • Proficiency with project estimating, scheduling, and tracking in large organizations.
  • Strong people management and team-building skills.
  • Adaptability and sound judgment in rapidly changing environments with competing priorities.
  • Understanding of business processes and collaboration across organizational levels.
  • Ability to assess risks and apply technology-related management principles.
  • Experience delivering technology and business apps in large-scale, multi-platform systems.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver programs within defined scope, quality, schedule, and budget constraints, navigating moderate-probability and moderate-impact risk factors.
  • Lead cross-functional, multi-project initiatives requiring broad alignment and coordination across engineering, operations, and vendor teams.
  • Manage overseas contract manufacturers, interfacing with their engineering teams and overseeing program management.
  • Oversee all phases from design through OK to Fab, including work with flexes, rigid boards, and hardware design processes.
  • Ensure effective implementation planning and project tracking in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Provide program-level strategic planning and partner with executive leadership for direction-setting and status communication.
  • Manage internal exempt employees, matrixed teams, and contractors to deliver high-quality systems and enhancements.
  • Engage with vendors, ensuring expectations, schedules, and deliverables are clearly aligned and managed.
