Job summary

Engtal is seeking a Robotics Software Engineer to join our Embedded Systems team. You will design, prototype, and test embedded software and hardware components powering our wearable robotics platform.

You will collaborate with hardware engineers and algorithm developers to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions. Ideal candidates have a strong background in C/C++, RTOS, and ARM Cortex-M/ESP32, with hands-on hardware experience and a practical mindset for production support, testing, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; 3+ years embedded software experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and OO design for embedded systems.
• Experience with ARM Cortex-M and ESP32 microcontrollers.
• Strong RTOS knowledge, multitasking, and multi-core architectures.
• Ability to read schematics and understand chip architecture.
• Familiarity with SPI, UART, CAN, I2C, Ethernet.
• Proficiency with hardware debugging tools and Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Embedded software design, development, and maintenance for wearable robotics.
• Lead firmware system architecture; write core code and ensure safety-critical software.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software with motors and sensors.
• Design and build test frameworks to verify hardware/software integration.
• Lead code reviews, manage merges, and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
• Support production-line testing and optimize mass-production workflows.
• Create technical documentation and ensure smooth knowledge transfer.
