Job summary

Meet Life Sciences is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer in San Diego to lead test development and characterization of next‑gen wearable health monitoring devices. The role sits within Mechanical R&D Engineering, focusing on end-to-end test strategies for high‑volume electromechanical medical devices.

The candidate will mentor a team, drive test methods and fixtures, and oversee data analysis from development through product launch.

Qualifications

• Extensive test development and characterization experience with electromechanical medical devices, wearables, or biosensors.
• Full lifecycle medical device development: feasibility through V&V, design transfer and commercialization.
• Hands-on experience building test fixtures, procedures, metrology tools and custom test systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end test strategy from early development through product launch.
• Drive characterization plans, performance testing and data analysis.
• Mentor and coach a junior characterization engineering team on best testing practices.
