Job summary

CoAspire, a defense manufacturing leader in Northern Virginia, seeks a procurement professional to manage full lifecycle sourcing for materials, components, and services critical to weapon system production. You will work with engineering, manufacturing, and program management to ensure compliant, cost-effective parts meet FAR/DFARS, ITAR, and TINA requirements.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of procurement experience in defense/aerospace environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or related field (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS, ITAR, government contracting flow-downs, and compliant purchasing systems.
• Proven negotiation skills with experience in cost/price analysis, long-term agreements, and supplier management.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced production environment.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance (active clearance preferred).
• Hands-on manufacturing setting with occasional supplier visits or audits.

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and purchase parts, electronics, composites, raw materials, and subcontracted services.
• Issue RFQs, perform price/cost analysis, and negotiate pricing, lead times, and long-term agreements.
• Place and manage purchase orders, expedite deliveries, resolve supplier discrepancies, maintain procurement records.
• Ensure procurements comply with FAR/DFARS, ITAR, TINA, and company regulations.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships, evaluate performance, and identify new sources.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality on make-vs-buy decisions and flow-down of requirements.
