Job summary

Strategic Management Solutions, LLC (SMSI) is hiring multiple System Engineers to support Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). The role involves implementing conduct of engineering and conduct of maintenance programs for critical equipment and support systems.

The candidate will plan and perform work requiring sound technical/business judgment in the evaluation, organization, and execution of equipment and system assignments.

Qualifications

• Accredited four-year degree in engineering with 10 years of related experience.
• Postgraduate degree or leadership training is a plus.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Q clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Engineering background with understanding of capital projects and project life cycle.
• Interface with client project team with limited supervision.
• Create system requirements baseline from documentation.
• Maintain and update the Requirements Tracking Database.
• Integrate interface requirements across system boundaries.
• Specify verification requirements and review designs for compliance.
• Gather inputs from project team and subcontractors for maintenance.
• Provide tracking reports to validate design documentation and verification.
