Job summary

SCCI in Dahlgren, VA seeks a System Tester to apply robust manual and automated test engineering in a lab and field environment. The role focuses on evaluating weapon control systems, developing test strategies, and ensuring safety and precision of equipment for end users.

Travel to CONUS locations may be required for installation and testing. The candidate should have a BS in engineering or equivalent, 3 years of test design/automation, 2 years on DoD weapon systems, and capability to work

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain active Secret clearance.
BS in engineering/science/technical discipline or equivalent weapon system experience.
3 years designing, implementing and executing manual and automated test procedures.
2 years testing software-intensive DoD weapon systems.
Ability to travel and work extended hours (up to 16 hours/day).
Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop test strategies and detailed procedures for weapon control systems.
Conduct lab and field test evaluations prior to release.
Troubleshoot issues with developers and document results.
Develop test automation tools and GUIs using Python or C#.
Collaborate across teams to meet milestones and priorities.
Maintain knowledge of system capabilities ahead of delivery to end users.
Support remote travel and installation activities as needed.
Perform verification, validation and performance testing within rapid development cycles.
