Job summary

Applied Research Solutions is seeking a Journeyman Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) Engineer to support Air Force weapon systems engineering programs. You will develop and implement R&M processes to ensure systems meet reliability and maintainability across their lifecycle, support milestone reviews, analyze FRACAS data, and classify field failures.

Must possess an active Secret clearance, US citizenship, and a degree from an ABET-accredited program.

Qualifications

Active Secret clearance is required.
US Citizenship is required.
Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
Knowledge of DoD, Air Force, and engineering principles for weapon systems.
Experience with Life Cycle Systems Engineering (LCSE) processes.
Understanding of OSS&E requirements.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement effective R&M processes for acquisition, sustainment, and disposal.
Review and analyze FRACAS data and reliability reports.
Work with G081 database to monitor field failures and classify defects.
Review baselines, OEM proposals, and modifications for feasibility.
Perform reliability, life-cycle, and cost assessments.
Support milestone prep and participate in SRR, PDR/CDR reviews.
Help translate user requirements into weapon system R&M requirements.
Support AF SO 21 initiatives and value stream mapping.
