Job summary

Bowhead Family of Companies is seeking a Mechanical Engineer / Weapon Systems Modeler to support the Navy’s munitions integration and hypersonics division. The role focuses on modeling targets, evaluating weapon-system effectiveness, and interfacing with design analysts and government personnel to determine overall system performance.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering, science, or technical field.
• Naval Weapons Systems development experience preferred.
• MATLAB, Python and SOLIDWORKS experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define threat systems, understand subsystems, and develop a Target Geometric Model and Fail Analysis Logic Trees.
• Assess weapon-target encounters to determine probability of kill or system effectiveness using Monte Carlo simulations.
• Prepare documentation and support configuration management guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
