Role Overview: We seek a Project Engineer to lead our Weapon System Integration (WSI) team in Indianapolis, Indiana. This leadership role involves driving technical and programmatic excellence, collaborating with internal teams and DoD service branches, and working closely with the Program Manager to meet program goals and stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own product cost, schedule, and technical performance; develop innovative solutions.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team for airborne software, mechanical systems, and structural elements.
• Provide programmatic and technical guidance, including staffing and resource planning.
• Represent the team at various review boards and meetings.
• Contribute to program reviews, technical interchange meetings, and cost estimation efforts.
• Manage risk, opportunities, and team performance; mentor team members.
• Ensure readiness for milestone reviews and align with portfolio strategies.

Required Skills:

• Experience with engineering processes and project management.
• Background in project engineering or management.
• Strong technical expertise with leadership experience.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).

Desired Skills:

• PMP Certification.
• Successful track record in engineering projects, especially within DoD.
• 6+ years of DoD program/IPT experience.
• Experience with weapon systems or military platforms.
• Leadership in aerospace/defense programs with prime contractors.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in STEM with 10+ years of experience; Master’s or MBA preferred.
