Role Overview: We seek a Project Engineer to lead our WSI team in Indianapolis, Indiana. This leadership role involves driving technical and programmatic excellence in airborne systems development, collaborating with internal teams and DoD service branches, and working closely with the Program Manager to meet program goals and stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ownership of product cost, schedule, and technical performance; developing innovative solutions.
• Leading a multidisciplinary team for development and production of airborne systems.
• Providing programmatic and technical guidance with the Program Manager.
• Representing the team at various review boards and coordinating with customers and subcontractors.
• Leading technical and cost estimation efforts, managing risks, and mentoring team members.
• Ensuring readiness for milestone reviews and aligning with portfolio strategies.

Required Skills:

• Experience with engineering processes and project management.
• Background in project engineering or management.
• Strong technical expertise with project leadership experience.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).

Desired Skills:

• PMP Certification.
• Proven success in engineering projects, especially within DoD programs.
• Over 6 years of DoD program management or IPT experience.
• Experience with weapon systems or military platforms.
• Leadership experience in aerospace/defense programs for large contractors.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in STEM + 10+ years of experience; Master’s or MBA preferred.
