Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking an Executive Communications Director for External Communications within US Wealth Management in New York City. The role defines and executes external communications strategy, working with the Head of External and Executive Communications and senior executives.

You will lead a growing team, drive complex projects, and partner with stakeholders across Consumer & Community Banking to protect and enhance the firm's reputation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of corporate communications with a commercial orientation and financial services knowledge.
• Experience advising senior executives with sound judgment and integrity.
• Proven external/media relations expertise and established relationships.
• Strong people management history and talent development.
• Understanding of highly regulated industries and compliance considerations.
• Excellent written and verbal communications with a creative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Serve as counsel to Wealth Management executives shaping external communications.
• Distill data, write and design presentations for senior leaders; prepare talking points.
• Lead external media relations, PR campaigns, events and executive visibility.
• Collaborate with firmwide communications, partners and peers to align messaging.
• Oversee a team of communications professionals and foster a high-performance culture.
• Build relationships with senior internal stakeholders across legal, risk, controls and compliance.
• Protect and enhance the firm's reputation through proactive storytelling and issue management.
• Contribute as a member of the Consumer and Community Banking Communications Extended Leadership Team.
