Job description

Henrico, VA — Richmond Area
Base Salary: $90,000–$110,000 annually, depending on experience

Take greater ownership of client relationships and build toward broader advisory leadership.

An established wealth-management firm is seeking a Wealth Advisor to guide existing clients through important financial decisions. You’ll lead planning conversations, turn recommendations into action and work closely with an experienced Lead Advisor as your responsibilities grow.

You do not need to bring a book of business. The role centers on financial planning and long-term client relationships, with no cold-prospecting requirement.

The Opportunity
  • Take an active advisory role with an established group of clients.
  • Lead meaningful conversations about retirement, investments and family financial priorities.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Advisor on complex planning situations.
  • Grow toward greater relationship ownership and advisory leadership.
What You’ll Do
  • Prepare for and lead client reviews, understand changing priorities and explain recommendations clearly.
  • Coordinate financial advice across investments, retirement, cash flow, tax considerations, insurance, estate planning and wealth transfer.
  • Keep clients informed and help them follow through on agreed next steps.
  • Partner with service colleagues, custodians and clients’ tax and legal professionals to implement recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure requests and commitments are completed.
  • Support consistent service standards and help less-experienced colleagues develop.
What You’ll Bring
  • Ideally five or more years of experience in wealth management, financial planning or an RIA environment.
  • Experience supporting or managing ongoing client relationships and participating in financial-planning meetings, with readiness to lead.
  • Practical knowledge of the planning areas above and the ability to translate complex topics into understandable advice.
  • Series 65, or Series 7 and 66, or the ability to obtain the required registration within an agreed timeframe.
  • Experience with financial-planning, CRM and custodial platforms.
  • Strong organization, dependable follow-through and discretion with confidential information.

CFP® certification and experience serving affluent or high-net-worth clients are strongly preferred. CFA®, ChFC® or CPWA® credentials may also be considered.
