We are seeking an experienced Wealth Advisor to join our team in Northern Virginia. This is a full-time, on-site position responsible for managing client relationships, providing comprehensive financial advice, and identifying opportunities to help clients pursue their financial goals.
The Wealth Advisor will serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned clients and prospective clients, leading client meetings and coordinating financial planning and investment strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead advisor and primary point of contact for assigned client relationships.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and prospective clients.
- Conduct client review meetings and proactively identify financial planning opportunities.
- Develop, present, and implement comprehensive financial plans.
- Advise clients on retirement, tax, estate, education, insurance, risk management, and investment planning.
- Provide guidance on portfolio construction and investment implementation.
- Review financial planning analyses and recommendations prepared by associates.
- Coordinate with tax, financial planning, and investment teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Manage client onboarding and transition processes.
- Participate in business development activities and referral relationships.
- Participate in the firm's Investment Committee.
- Utilize financial planning, CRM, and portfolio management technology to deliver efficient, high-quality client service.
- Maintain accurate client records and adhere to confidentiality, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- CFP® certification in good standing is required.
- 5+ years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, investment advisory, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience leading client meetings and managing ongoing client relationships.
- Strong understanding of retirement, tax, estate, investment, and risk management planning.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong relationship-building and client service abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple client relationships and priorities effectively.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to client confidentiality.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Experience with financial planning software, CRM platforms, and portfolio management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, CFA®, EA, or other relevant professional designation.
- Experience working within an independent registered investment advisory (RIA) firm.
- Experience with comprehensive financial planning and high-net-worth client relationships.
