The AI and Emerging Technologies Risk Manager will serve as a central point of coordination for AI use case intake, onboarding, governance, and AI oversight. The role will provide consultative guidance to business partners, perform intake quality control, coordinate with appropriate risk and control partners, and support governance throughout the asset lifecycle for AI use cases. This role partners closely with WCIB business leaders and the Second Line of Defense (SLOD) teams including Enterprise Risk Management, Technology Risk Oversight, Model Risk Management, Compliance, Law Division, Third Party Risk Management, Enterprise Data Governance, and Information Security Services and Technology Risk Oversight. The candidate selected will ensure emerging AI technology risks are properly identified, assessed, documented, monitored, and escalated. While SLOD teams provide independent oversight and challenge, this role retains business line accountability for execution, evidence, issue management, and remediation.
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
