Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) seeks a Workers’ Compensation Specialist to support the administration of workers' compensation claims, coordinate with the Third-Party Administrator (TPA) and legal counsel, and assist with return-to-work efforts across WMATA operations.

The role partners with HR, OHAW, Payroll and other teams to ensure program compliance, data accuracy in RMIS, and proactive safety improvements. Previous WC experience and strong communication are required.

Qualifikationen

• Three years’ experience in workers’ compensation claims adjusting, insurance brokering, or similar roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent with experience.
• Strong knowledge of WC laws and TPA processes.

Aufgaben

• Manage Return to Duty process with operations, payroll, TPA and departments.
• Ensure WC TPA compliance with WCCM and P/I.
• Deliver training on WC procedures and rules to improve program effectiveness.
• Liaise between WMATA, TPA, and legal counsel for claim coordination.
• Assist RMIS/TPA data management and access to internal information.
