Job summary

Toole Design seeks a Project Manager, Wayfinding/Environmental Graphics in Columbus, OH to lead multi-disciplinary wayfinding, placemaking, and environmental graphics projects. You will mentor staff, manage client relationships, and coordinate across urban design, landscape architecture, and transportation engineering.

The role emphasizes designing signage programs, mapping, and branding to help communities navigate trails, transit, parks, and walkable districts, with a focus on sustainability

Qualifications

• ,Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field is required.
• 8+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years leading wayfinding projects.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating design excellence and built work.
• Excellent visual, written, and client-facing communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, develop work plans and proposals, and guide projects end-to-end.
• Experience with public clients and community engagement is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary wayfinding and environmental graphics projects, manage client relationships, and mentor design staff.
• Coordinate with urban design, landscape architecture, and transportation engineering teams to deliver projects.
• Develop signage programs, mapping, branding, and placemaking strategies to improve navigation.
• Support projects across the region and beyond to create connected, livable public spaces.
