Job summary

Doncasters in Oxford, AL seeks a Wax Process Engineer to act as the primary technical authority for the wax pattern and mold preparation value stream. This on-site role focuses on process stability, wax injection parameters, and assembly standards to produce high-integrity wax components.

You will influence quality from ceramic cores through shell loading, ensuring repeatability and low defects. The ideal candidate has a mechanical/manufacturing engineering background with 3+ years in industrial

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, with explicit experience in injection molding or investment casting wax room operations.
• Understanding of polymer/wax rheology, thermal expansion, contraction characteristics, and material behavior.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and modify parameters to obtain quality wax components.

Responsibilities

• Own the process stability and wax pattern and mold assembly preparation value stream.
• Drive dimensional repeatability and minimize inclusion defects.
• Maintain fixed process controls for turbine blades and vanes.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure quality and efficiency.
