Job summary

Siemens Energy in Gibsonton, FL seeks an entry-level Manufacturing Technician (Wax Pinner) for 1st shift, 6am–2pm. You will support the wax department, learn methods to produce high-quality investment castings, and participate in training to develop skills.

Day-to-day duties include retrieving pins from vault and recording counts, using wax-hand tools, following written instructions, inspecting patterns for defects, and cross-training as needed.

Qualifications

• Evidence of a High school Diploma or GED is required.
• Knowledge or interest in manufacturing.
• Good attention to detail and eye/hand coordination skills and able to perform basic math functions using metric system.
• Ability to read Engineering instructions and demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
• This position will require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security, and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position. The candidate must be able to work with export-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.

Responsibilities

• Will work in the Wax Department pinning patterns. Will participate in trainings to learn methods to produce parts of exceptional quality in the manufacturing of investment castings in the Gibsonton Florida location.
• Will be retrieving pins from vault and verifying for count accuracy recording Pin Vault Log for Inventory Control.
• Works with small hydrogen torches, hot plates, brushes, hot wax, irons, and a variety of specialized Wax Hand Tools.
• Follow written work instructions and photographs.
• Visually inspects patterns for defects.
• Other duties and cross training as need it.
