Howmet Aerospace, located in Wichita Falls, TX, is hiring a Wax B Operator to handle pattern inspection, pattern sub‑assembly, mold assembly, gating, taping, engraving, and pinner/robot operations.
Responsibilities
- Inspect all patterns and determine acceptance, repair or scrap per provided instructions.
- Follow protocol for reporting deviations and scrap trends.
- Set up and use dimensional gauges to inspect cores and wax patterns.
- Prepare sprues; locate ceramic bracing per engineering specifications.
- Attach patterns to gating and seal per specified methods, including dip‑seal operations.
- Assemble multiple airfoil patterns and oversee overall mold quality.
- Torch sprues, seal, and pour into cups; add bracing as required.
- Set up equipment for specific activities.
- Operate and maintain the pinner/robot system.
- Pay close attention to detail, keep supplies stocked and perform other duties as needed.
- Work overtime as required and follow 5S rules.
- Utilize help chain and workplace safety protocols.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.
- Must be able to work 12‑hour rotating night shifts (6:48 PM–6:48 AM).
- Ability to read and interpret Product Criteria (PC) and Activity Instructions (AI).
- Basic computer skills.
- Team player able to work under general supervision.
- Maintain expected quality levels and comply with all company policies (EHS, Quality, Code of Conduct, Employee Handbook).
- Successfully complete written and practical assessment at the end of training.
- Pass a pre‑employment background check and drug screen.

Working Hours
