Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Whitehall Township, Michigan, is seeking an off-shift inspector to examine cored wax patterns and cores using nondestructive testing (radiography) and to identify detrimental discontinuities and other surface irregularities.

Responsibilities include conducting quality audits, making dispositions (accepts or rejects) per engineering specs, and performing visual inspection of DS and SC wax clusters before dipping into monoshell slurry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years work experience; or six months continuous manufacturing.
• U.S. work authorization; visa sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two years work experience; or six months continuous manufacturing experience.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous industrial x-ray experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and have good communication skills
