Job summary

Orchid Orthopedic Solutions in Oregon City is hiring an Operations Technician I, Wax to set up dies and wax injection moldings for orthopedic implant products. You will perform wax assembly tasks using hand tools, heating elements, and inspection steps in a clean, controlled environment.

The role emphasizes safety, quality compliance, and active learning, with ongoing training and opportunities to contribute to Lean Manufacturing and 5S practices.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent (preferred).
• No prior work experience required (preferred).
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete all required training.
• Safely transport product using hand truck, pallet jack, carts and tables.
• Maintain clean and organized work area, tools and equipment.
• Detect and report faulty equipment or materials and any unusual conditions.

SHIFT

ORE - Shift 2 ($.55) (United States of America - Oregon)

Brief Overview

The Operations Technician I, Wax sets up dies and wax injection moldings for products and machines. Performs wax assembly processes including but not limited to using hand held torch, heating elements and tips, dental picks, abrasive cleaning pads, and, cleaning sticks and fluids.

What You Will Do

• Completes all required training.
• Use hand truck, pallet jack, carts and tables to safely transport product.
• Maintain work area, tools and equipment in a clean and organized condition.
• Detect & report faulty equipment, defective material and any unusual conditions to the department Supervisor or Lead.
• Follow designated safety rules and regulations.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and EHS initiatives.
• Dimensionally inspect work, using appropriate tools including, but not limited to; calipers, comparators, pin gauges, measuring instruments and surface plates, etc. as required.
• Perform weekly housekeeping per 5S schedule.
• Detect & report faulty equipment, defective material and any unusual conditions to the department Supervisor or Lead.
• Follow work orders to perform operations on various parts and products
• Reinforces safety expectations. Ensures safety operating practices are demonstrated. Reports issues/concerns to Supervisor.
• Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Education Qualifications
