Job summary

Orchid is seeking an Operations Technician I, Wax at our Oregon City, OR facility to support production of orthopedic implants and wax printing processes. You will perform packaging, inspection, and material handling tasks, while complying with ISO 13485 standards and safety guidelines.

The role requires minimal prior experience, with on-the-job training provided. You will join a team that values accuracy, lean manufacturing, and reliable workmanship in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High School or equivalent preferred.
  • No previous work experience required (Preferred).
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong problem solving and measurement skills are expected.

Responsibilities

  • Completes all required training.
  • Use hand truck, pallet jack, carts and tables to safely transport product.
  • Maintain work area, tools and equipment in a clean and organized condition.
  • Detect & report faulty equipment, defective material and any unusual conditions to the department Supervisor or Lead.
  • Follow designated safety rules and regulations.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and EHS initiatives.
  • Dimensionally inspect work, using calipers, comparators and other tools as required.
  • Perform weekly housekeeping per 5S schedule.
  • Detect & report faulty equipment, defective material and any unusual conditions to the department Supervisor or Lead.
  • Follow work orders to perform operations on various parts and products.
  • Reinforces safety expectations.
  • Ensures safety operating practices are demonstrated.
  • Reports issues/concerns to Supervisor.
  • Support quality and compliance by adhering to QMS procedures.

Operations Technician I, Wax

Shift: ORE - Shift 2 ($.55). Location: Oregon City, OR, United States of America - Oregon.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Completes all required training.
  • Use hand truck, pallet jack, carts and tables to safely transport product.
  • Maintain work area, tools and equipment in a clean and organized condition.
  • Detect & report faulty equipment, defective material and any unusual conditions to the department Supervisor or Lead.

  • Dimensionally inspect work, using appropriate tools including, but not limited to; calipers, comparators, pin gauges, measuring instruments and surface plates, etc. as required.
  • Perform weekly housekeeping per 5S schedule.
  • Detect & report faulty equipment, defective material and any unusual conditions to the department Supervisor or Lead.
  • Follow work orders to perform operations on various parts and products.
  • Reinforces safety expectations.
  • Ensures safety operating practices are demonstrated.
  • Reports issues/concerns to Supervisor.
  • Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Or Equivalent (Preferred)
