Job summary

PCC Structurals in Oregon seeks an operator to mold wax patterns and gating components using various mold machines. You will inspect, trim, and clean wax parts, ensuring high-quality output while following established setup and safety procedures.

Responsibilities include tooling die preparation, machine setup, logging modifications, and adherence to production standards. Training is provided on the job, with potential Hazardous Waste management training.

Qualifications

• Three to six months of competent performance in wax molding operations preferred.
• Equivalent combination of training and work experience accepted.
• Ability to read, interpret and follow specifications on Technique Cards and Process Control Procedures.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to work alone with limited supervision.
• Written language skills required.
• Physical ability to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, disassembles, prepares and positions tooling dies for operation; changes die inserts as required.
• Sets up, monitors, and controls mold machine functions.
• Inspects, trims, and cleans wax parts; removes parts from die.
• Cleans wax parts as required.
• Completes logs and records; documents any modifications to process.
• Meets all production and quality standards.
• Adheres to plant and department safety rules.
• Safely operates all equipment and tools.
• Identifies and reports safety problems.
• May train less skilled operators.
• Performs other tasks as directed.
• May work with hazardous waste.
