Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Cleveland, OH seeks a Wax Finisher to perform final finishing of wax and wax/plastic patterns, remove flash, repair defects, and create smooth blends.

Under the Production Area Lead, you will dress pour cups, attach finished patterns to trees, prepare cores when working on IGT patterns, and report completed pieces in the inventory system, all while wearing PPE and performing light to moderate physical tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively in a cell team.

Responsibilities

• Final finishing of wax and wax/plastic patterns; remove flash and smooth blends.
• Repair defects in pattern assemblies without changing contour or shape using wax.
• Dressing of pour cups and attaching finished patterns to trees.
• Attach pour cup to pattern gating and assemble cross arms/vent plugs when gating.
• Data entry of finished pieces into inventory system.
• Prepare cores for IGT patterns.
• Blue sealing on plastic/wax patterns as needed.
