Job summary

Chromalloy Corporation seeks a Wax Assembly Operator to clean, prepare, and assemble wax patterns and related components used in aerospace parts manufacturing. This role follows engineering specifications, standard work, and customer requirements to help ensure quality and on-time production.

We look for candidates with basic manufacturing experience, good hand dexterity, and the ability to read engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to clearly communicate in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and understanding work instructions.
• 3+ months of manufacturing, assembly, inspection, or related experience preferred.
• Prior aerospace, manufacturing, or precision assembly experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
• Good hand dexterity and ability to perform detailed assembly work.
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Ability to work safely, follow procedures, and work effectively in a team environment.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare wax patterns and core components prior to assembly.
• Remove defects using approved tools and methods.
• Inspect wax patterns to ensure they meet quality requirements before assembly.
• Read and follow engineering sketches, practices, and work instructions.
• Assemble wax patterns, gating, sprues, bleeders, pour cups, ceramic cores, and other mold components.
• Use hot irons, water welders, scalpels, adhesives, and other assembly tools as required.
• Repair minor imperfections and address quality concerns as directed.
• Complete required paperwork and accurately sign off on production routers.
• Transfer completed work to the next operation and communicate job status to the team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
