Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Wax Assembly Operator to clean, prepare, and assemble wax patterns and related components used in aerospace parts manufacturing. This role follows engineering specifications, standard work, and customer requirements to help ensure quality and on-time production.

The position involves 3rd shift, Sunday-Thursday 9:00p-5:00a with a $3.00 shift differential. Training may require schedule adjustments during onboarding to support hands-on learning and development.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
• Clear communication in English (speaking, reading, writing) with work instructions.
• Good hand dexterity and ability to perform detailed assembly work.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare wax patterns and core components prior to assembly.
• Remove defects using approved tools and methods.
• Inspect wax patterns to ensure they meet quality requirements before assembly.
• Read and follow engineering sketches, practices, and work instructions.
• Assemble wax patterns, gating, sprues, bleeders, pour cups, ceramic cores, and other mold components.
• Use hot irons, water welders, scalpels, adhesives, and other assembly tools as required.
• Repair minor imperfections and address quality concerns as directed.
• Complete required paperwork and accurately sign off on production routers.
• Transfer completed work to the next operation and communicate job status to the team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
