Job summary

Robbinsdale Area Schools is seeking a Special Education Assistant for the WAVE program at Zachary Lane Elementary School. The role covers seven hours per day, including 6.5 paid hours and 30 minutes of unpaid lunch time.

Qualifications

• Two years of college credits (MN) or higher degree, or ParaPro/Paraeducator assessment.
• Experience with students who have cognitive/disabilities preferred.
• Basic computer skills and data organization required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in supervision and instruction to students with disabilities.
• Provides clerical/organizational support to teachers.
• Works with individuals/small groups as directed by teachers.
• Provides support for students in crisis.
• Able to lift/carry and physically assist as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by teacher or principal.
