Job summary

Wattpad is hiring a Human Resources Generalist to shape the employee experience from day one through ongoing milestones. You will establish foundational HR processes, draft communications, coordinate events, and manage onboarding and off-boarding activities to ensure a smooth lifecycle for all staff.

You will handle leaves, accommodations, and initial employee relations inquiries while supporting performance reviews and engagement surveys in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in HR, people operations, employee experience or talent acquisition.
• Ability to communicate in a confidential and clear manner with employees and managers.
• Experience with an HRIS (e.g, ADP Workforce Now, BambooHR).
• Strong written communication skills: write crisp, warm employee announcements.
• Organized and reliable: juggle multiple programs, deadlines, and budgets.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Discretion and good judgment with confidential information.

HR Generalist

to help shape how employees experience our workplace from their first day through every milestone after. You'll curate the moments that make people feel welcomed, recognized, and connected, while also building the operational HR foundation that keeps our Wattpad HR team running smoothly. What You’ll Do:

Required Qualifications:

Nice To Haves:

• Experience managing vendors or program budgets.
• Familiarity with immigration processes including LMIAs and work permits.
• Strong understanding of employment standards.
• Ability to interpret HR policies.
• Working toward CHRP designation or equivalent.

$70,000 - $85,000 a year
