Watt-Hotel is seeking a skilled Hotel Engineer to perform general maintenance, plumbing and electrical work, and to ensure safety standards across the property. This role supports preventative maintenance, guest room PM, and quick response to guest requests.

Strong knowledge of HVAC, safety regulations, and building systems is essential. The ideal candidate has at least two years of hotel maintenance experience, some certification in HVAC or plumbing, and the ability to follow logbooks and

• High school diploma or trade school in a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hotel maintenance experience.
• Hilton brand experience is a plus.
• Experience in technology maintenance is required; cleaning experience is a plus.
• Apprenticeship under a pro maintenance technician is a plus.
• HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing certification is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and repair plumbing and electrical systems and replace worn parts.
• Follow preventative maintenance schedules and log all work.
• Respond to life safety issues (alarms, door locks, detectors).
• Replace or repair TVs, door locks, IT systems, and related programs.
• PM guest rooms daily and handle guest requests during shifts.
• Complete painting of rooms and public spaces as directed.
• Keep public, internal, storage areas, and parking lots clean.
• Assist other departments with moving furniture and stocking supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

ABOUT THE ROLEHotel Engineers are responsible for performing general maintenance work to ensure hotel maintenance quality and safety standards are achieved. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you should possess the diverse knowledge of electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, and HVAC refrigeration.Essential Duties:Basic knowledge of, and experience with carpentry, plumbing, mechanical repair, painting, and HVAC systems preferred.Knowledge of safety management principles; federal and state OSHA regulations.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more throughout the property with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects.Ability to walk, including climbing stairs, ladders, stand to a significant degree, kneel, reach, bend, handle machinery, lift, feel, talk, hear, and see.Specific requirements of the role:Maintain and repair plumbing and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts, switches, and fuses.Ensure upkeep of all fixtures and equipment according to preventative maintenance schedule and record such maintenance in logbook.Respond to life safety issues including fire alarms, smoke detectors, door locking systems, etc.Replace or repair TVs, door locks, plumbing fixtures, IT systems & programs, etc.PM guest rooms on a daily basis and respond to guest requests during the shift.Complete projects as directed to include painting rooms & public spaces.Ensure cleanliness of public areas, internal areas, storage areas, and parking lot.Assist other departments with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies.Other duties as assigned by management.Qualifications:High school diploma and/or trade school coursework in related field.Min 2 years maintenance experience pref. in a hotel required. Hilton brand experience a plus.Experience in technology maintenance is required, cleaning experience preferred.Completion of apprenticeship under a professional maintenance technician is a plus.HVAC, Electricity, or Plumbing Certification is a plus.
