Job summary

HD Fowler Company is seeking a full-time Branch Estimator in Utah. Primary duties include taking off quantities, pricing, and freight for bids on public and private projects, while coordinating supplier quotes to maximize bid success. The role emphasizes accuracy, speed, and cross-functional teamwork.

Applicants should have 2+ years as a waterworks estimator or related field and 1+ year in Inside Sales or Project Management. relocation to Ogden/Salt Lake City area is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ waterworks estimator experience in a related field.
• At least 1 year Inside Sales or Project Manager experience or equivalent.
• Strong math and computer skills with attention to detail.
• Good understanding of blueprints including plan & profile views and elevations.
• Ability to prioritize under tight deadlines and work with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Independently complete accurate takeoffs with pricing and freight.
• Find and coordinate upcoming bids and design bid strategies with sales.
• Follow up on bids and manage bid board and processes with staff.
• Create detailed material quantity estimates from plans.
• Collaborate with engineers and vendors on questions and changes to specs.
• Ensure procedural and reporting compliance.
