Job summary

Rentokil North America, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Specialist (I) to participate in mechanical application operations and assist in maintenance/repair of equipment. You will operate watercraft, aquatic weed harvester, hydro-rake, loader, and log all project data while supporting project teams at various locations.

The role requires 1–2 years in the field, a mechanical mindset, and the ability to travel. OSHA-10/Hoisting certifications are preferred, and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of experience in the mechanical application field.
• Comfortable with on-water equipment applications.
• Mechanically inclined and detail oriented.
• Ability to travel as needed and work independently or in a group.
• Complete licensing/certification programs as necessary (OSHA 10, Hoisting, etc.).
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Learn and conduct mechanical control applications.
• Observe and identify aquatic plant species.
• Aid in mobilization/demobilization of equipment.
• Assist in staging of environmental control measures per project/permit requirements.
• Operate mechanical equipment (watercraft, weed harvester, hydro-rake, loader).
• Log project information in the mechanical log book; provide updates to the Project Coordinator.
• Assist in training new employees on operating/maintaining mechanical equipment.
