Job summary

Rentokil North America, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic Specialist to support aquatic management projects. You will operate heavy equipment and maintain machinery to ensure efficient operations and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have a HS Diploma and 2+ years of experience with aquatic equipment; strong communication and teamwork are essential for site success and safety across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma; degree/certificate in machinery maintenance preferred.
• 2+ years of experience operating and maintaining aquatic machinery.

Responsibilities

• Operate mechanical aquatic weed control and heavy equipment to achieve project goals.
• Operate boats, aquatic weed harvesters, hydro-rakes, forklifts, excavators, skid-steer loaders.
• Plan and execute mechanical vegetation control strategies per project requirements and regulations.
• Identify aquatic plant species and monitor growth patterns to inform control measures.
• Assist in mobilization/demobilization of heavy equipment for projects.
• Maintain equipment and ensure proper environmental control measures per permits.
• Maintain accurate project records and logs; track spoils productivity and timelines.
• Provide training on safe and effective operation of aquatic machinery.
