Job summary

Greenville Water seeks a Watershed Manager to supervise maintenance and protection of its watersheds and associated structures, planning, directing, and overseeing activities to ensure the highest quality raw water supply and regulatory compliance. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Watershed Management, Engineering, Forestry, or Environmental Science; five (5) years of progressively responsible supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises watershed staff; oversees maintenance, security, safety, environmental compliance, and dam safety programs.
• Directs activities of watershed operations, budgeting, staffing plans, and coordination with maintenance, laboratory, engineering, and plant operations groups.
• Provides input on budget projections and reservoir/dam safety and operations, and ensures compliance with safety programs and regulations.
• Responds to emergencies 24 hours a day and coordinates with emergency services for flooding, wildland fire, and other incidents.
