Job summary

Double JJ Resort in Rothbury, MI is hiring a Waterpark Dispatcher to protect guest safety around the water slides and assist at the front of the slide area. The role involves enforcing slide rules, supervising the slide area, and ensuring clear communication with attendants to keep participants safe.

Responsibilities include opening/closing checks, cleaning duties, handling guest check-ins and waivers, selling retail items, and operating the cash register.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years of age.
• Must be able to communicate well, verbally and in writing, to members and staff with ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to adequately observe participant activities, enforce safety regulations, and apply appropriate policies and procedures.
• Basic math skills including proper handling of cash.
• Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
• MUST have open availability and flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and school breaks.

Responsibilities

• Enforces slide rules according to Double JJ policies and safety procedures.
• Provides supervision for slide area, including the top of slide and the designated slide catch pool.
• Monitor all slide participants to ensure safety.
• Communicate with slide attendant at the bottom of the slide to ensure safety of slide participants.
• Remain in position at slide during operation.
• Perform opening and closing procedures, pre- and post-shift checks.
• Always presents a professional appearance and attitude and maintains a high standard of customer service.
• Communicate any and all safety issues to the proper supervisor.
• Cleaning duties while on shift, including picking up trash, sweeping, scrubbing, and cleaning surfaces, picking up tubes, and other miscellaneous cleaning tasks.
• Customer service duties include checking in of guests, waiver verification, selling retail items, and operating the cash register.
• Other duties as assigned
• Directly reports to the Aquatics Manager.
