Job summary

Syngenta Seeds in Woodland, CA is seeking a Breeding Intern - Watermelon to support the Melon Breeding Team across the vegetable seeds development program. This internship offers exposure to day-to-day field activities and hands-on experience with experimental hybrids and inbred lines.

You will gain experience through Syngenta's Emerging Talent Program, performing data collection, field crew leadership, and collaboration with breeding and market teams, while developing professional skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Foster an operational culture aligned with HSE and policies.
• Support breeding teams in field activities evaluating hybrids and inbred lines.
• Implement High-Throughput Phenotyping protocols in Cucurbit programs.
• Collect and curate data for accuracy and integrity.
• Lead field crew activities during the evaluation season.
• Assist teams in data collection for trait discovery and validation.
• Perform other duties to meet project needs.
