Responsabilidades

• Set up and operate waterjet cutting equipment with provided programs.
• Read drawings and work orders to verify material, thickness, quantities and dimensions.
• Load, position and secure material using approved handling methods.
• Perform secondary operations: deburring, edge finishing, drilling, tapping, countersinking, chamfering.
• Select tools and set up equipment for secondary operations.
• Inspect dimensions, hole sizes, threads, countersinks and edge quality against drawings.
• Identify and organize finished parts by order, suffix and part number.
• Follow production priorities and communicate shortages, equipment issues and delays.
• Record completed quantities, production activity and scrap.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and operator maintenance.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.

Waterjet Operator / Secondary Operations

Alum-a-Lift | Winston, Georgia | Full-Time

Pay: $20–$30 per hour, based on skills and experience

Alum-a-Lift manufactures custom lifting equipment that helps customers safely handle challenging loads. We are seeking a Waterjet Operator who can also complete secondary operations, including deburring, drilling, tapping and countersinking.

Our shop handles a variety of parts in small batches. This position requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and the ability to follow drawings through cutting and secondary operations.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate waterjet cutting equipment using provided cutting programs.
• Read drawings and work orders to verify material, thickness, quantities and dimensions.
• Load, position and secure material using approved handling methods.
• Complete secondary operations, including deburring, edge finishing, drilling, tapping, countersinking and chamfering.
• Select appropriate tools and set up equipment for secondary operations.
• Inspect dimensions, hole sizes, threads, countersinks and edge quality against drawing requirements.
• Identify and organize finished parts by order, suffix and part number.

Required Qualifications

• Manufacturing, fabrication or machine-shop experience.
• Demonstrated ability to perform deburring, drilling, tapping and countersinking.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and follow dimensional and finish requirements.
• Experience safely using drill presses, hand tools and deburring equipment.
• Ability to use calipers, thread gauges and other appropriate inspection tools.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn equipment controls.
• Dependable attendance, clear communication and commitment to quality and safety.

Preferred Experience

• Waterjet or other cutting-equipment operation.
• Working with aluminum and stainless-steel sheet and plate.
• Material handling using forklifts, cranes or similar equipment.

Success in This Role

Produce accurate parts, complete required secondary operations, minimize avoidable scrap and deliver clearly identified work to the next department on schedule.
