Waterjet Operator 2nd Shift — thyssenkrupp Materials NA
Location: Cleveland, OH | Salary: $75,000–$95,000 a year.
Conducts and operates computer numeric controlled (CNC) equipment within the organization. Operates on 2nd shift, pay $26.44 per hour.
Key Accountabilities
- Performs precision tool machining operations through monitoring feed rates, speed, and special instruments.
- Conducts inspections using measuring instruments for accuracy.
- Uses calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and scales.
- Troubleshoots malfunctions and maintains machines.
- Conducts preventive maintenance and maintains safe workspaces.
- Meets production goals re: cycle time, quantity, quality.
- Utilizes blueprints and dimensions, machine instructions, and special project guidelines.
- Possesses working knowledge of programming CNC machines (optional).
- Works under general supervision; handles moderately complex issues and refers more complex issues to higher‑level staff.
- Potential leadership, coaching or mentoring for subordinate group.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2‑4 years’ experience in a related position.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Safety mindset.
Preferred Requirements
- Accreditation from a technical school or applicable skills trades program.
- Previous warehouse and forklift experience, especially in metals industry.
- Proficiency with handheld measuring tools and computer literate.
