Job summary

Firematic in the United States is seeking a reliable Waterjet Operator to join our production team. You will operate CNC waterjet cutting machines, read blueprints, set up parameters, and ensure precise material cutting to specification.

Day-to-day tasks include handling materials, performing fabrication tasks such as drilling and finishing, inspecting parts for quality, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment while meeting production goals.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of fabrication or waterjet operation experience preferred.
• Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measurement tools.
• Familiarity with metals, plastics, and composites.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Waterjet Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC waterjet machines and working in a fabrication environment. This role involves reading blueprints, cutting various materials to specification, and contributing to general fabrication tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CNC waterjet cutting machine
• Set up machine parameters, load materials, and ensure accurate cutting
• Handle, move, and position raw materials and finished parts safely & efficiently
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Perform fabrication tasks such as grinding, drilling, welding (if applicable), and finishing

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of experience in fabrication or waterjet operation (preferred)
• Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measurement tools
• Familiarity with various materials including metals, plastics, and composites
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Flow, OMAX, or similar waterjet systems
• Welding or metal fabrication experience a plus
