Firematic is seeking a reliable Waterjet Operator to join our fabrication team in New York. The role involves operating CNC waterjet equipment, reading blueprints, and precision cutting of metals, plastics, and composites.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in fabrication or waterjet operation, strong mechanical aptitude, and basic computer skills. You will lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and collaborate to meet production goals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience in fabrication or waterjet operation.
• Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measurement tools.
• Familiarity with metals, plastics, and composites.
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CNC waterjet cutting machine.
• Set up machine parameters, load materials, and ensure accurate cutting.
• Handle, move, and position raw materials and finished parts safely.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Perform fabrication tasks such as grinding, drilling, welding (if applicable), and finishing.
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
