Job summary

Gloucester Terminals LLC is seeking entry-level security personnel to patrol facilities along the Delaware River and monitor access points. Candidates must follow safety rules in a fast-paced, drug-free environment and be able to respond to incidents promptly.

Responsibilities include patrols on foot or in vehicle, reporting incidents, and assisting customers and staff while maintaining security at all entrances and exits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow/enforce security and safety rules
• Able to operate radios, telephones and computers
• Ability to resolve issues and deescalate tensions when needed
• Fast-paced, drug-free environment with safety as a priority

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Communicate via 2-way radios, telephones and computers
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized presence
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as trespassing
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances/exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect company property
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents and suspicious activities
• Provide courteous and professional assistance to customers, employees and visitors
