Job summary

American Systems is seeking a Waterfront Power Coordinator with a Secret clearance and 8 years of Navy maintenance experience to support the Code 226 HM&E Testing Program at Pearl Harbor, HI.

The role involves coordinating power for shipboard work, interfacing with ships force and NSWCPD, ensuring worker safety, and supporting alterations with the Maintenance Activity Team. Strong knowledge of shipboard WAF processes is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 8 years of Navy maintenance experience.
  • 3 years of oversight and management of removal, installation and testing of Navy ship systems during availabilities.
  • Experience in shipboard work in power coordination, and in tagging in/out of equipment for power to ensure worker safety.
  • Active Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

As a Waterfront Power Coordinator, you will:

  • Provide Power Coordination, interface with ships force, NSWCPD, ISRA and other activities performing shipboard work to schedule the “tagin/tagout of all equipment.
  • Provide power to ensure safety of workers and support for the alterations being completed by the maintenance activity, shipyard and Alteration Installation Team (AIT)Notify the Ship Manager Representative of delays and changes from all production entities.
  • Support Shipboard Testing with in-depth knowledge of the Shipboard WAF process and eSOMS system
  • Provide waterfront power support daily and manage the schedule for all aspects of work being completed.

Qualifications
  • 8 years of navy maintenace experiece,
  • 3 years of experience in oversight and management of the removal, installation and testing of Navy ships systems during availabilities, including modernization actions. Experience should include managing shipboard work in power coordination, coordination and scheduling the “tag in/tag out” of all equipment providing power to ensure safety of all workers.
  • HS Graduate and 3 years of experience in the operation, maintenance, testing and repair of HM&E Equipment on US Navy Surface Ships or Submarines.
  • Active Secret Clearance
