Summerset Marine Construction in Madison, WI is seeking a Laborer to assist with docks, piers, and marine structures. The role involves labor-intensive work, loading materials, and operating hand and power tools, with a focus on safety and weather adaptability.

Responsibilities include site preparation, equipment handling, and helping crews install and remove lakefront structures. Travel to job sites is required; a valid driver's license and ability to swim are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Clean MVR; CDL A preferred.
• Previous marine or construction experience is advantageous.
• Ability to swim and comfort near water.
• Familiarity with hand tools, basic carpentry, and machinery.
• Boater safety; CPR/first aid certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the construction, maintenance, and dismantling of docks, piers, and other marine structures.
• Load, unload, identify, and distribute materials and equipment for daily operations.
• Operate hand and power tools; maintain and store them properly.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on small boats; assist in barge operations.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Set up and remove scaffolding and temporary structures at job sites.
• Clean and prepare sites; remove debris from barges and waterways.
• Travel to jobsites as required.
• Collaborate with team to complete projects efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
