Job summary

Unknown is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and integrate mechanical, structural, electrical, and hydraulic systems for watercraft transport platforms. You will create detailed 3D models and drawings, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and support prototype builds through production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with 3D modeling and SolidWorks.
• Proficiency in drawing dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Familiar with metal forming, cutting, and welding of structural steel and aluminum.
• ERP data management experience is a plus.
• FEA experience is a plus.
• Experience in an automotive setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical, structural, electrical, and hydraulic systems for watercraft transport platforms.
• Create and maintain detailed 3D models, drawings, specifications, tolerances, and engineering change records.
• Apply sound engineering principles to ensure structural integrity, safety, durability, and regulatory compliance.
• Design components and assemblies using structural steel and aluminum with fabrication and welding processes in mind.
• Support prototype builds, testing, validation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and field issue resolution.
• Partner with manufacturing to optimize designs for quality, cost, and efficient fabrication and assembly.
• Provide practical engineering support to production, quality, and service teams.
